Poole Party

Boy meets girl through prayer team for Campus Crusade for Christ. Daniel always wanted to sit beside Jess because "she smelled good." After being "friendly" for two years, we started dating in April 2006, married in October 2007, and had our first baby girl, Piper, in October 2010. Here's hoping more will join our party soon.

Independent Play

These pictures made me laugh! I remember it was in the middle of July, and after breakfast, I would put Piper in this exersaucer so I could get ready (now I just leave her in her highchair). I looked down to check on her, and her arms were stuck straight down in it. Being the good mom I am, I ran to get the camera because she looked hilarious. When I came back, her arms were out. But she looked pathetic to me for some reason! Sometimes I have real guilt if I am not playing with her all day, 100%. It took me months to realize I had to get things done, too! I just hope she doesn't suffer in the long run for it! We're still working on independently playing, and it is going semi-well. Any tips from moms out there??
And pictures that I thought were cute, because they simply don't belong anywhere else!
 Hilarious!
She still loves playing/biting the camera lens. I don't think daddy loves this...

Minnie Mouse Pictures

I love these Minnie Mouse pictures of Piper! Very few days are there when I want Piper to have a huge bow. I know that will probably make some of my friends upset (!) because they think the bigger the bow, the better. But I guess you just dress your daughter like you dress, and I don't wear big bows?! I don't know.. Sometimes they are fun for pictures.
Anyway - funny story behind these pictures... it wasn't until this summer I realized we should be taking more pictures of Piper, and Daniel is the more skilled one with the camera. So a few times he took pictures of her, and he didn't put any headbands on or a cute outfit. (THE HORROR!) So I asked him whenever he took pictures in the future, to make sure she looked like a girl. Boy, did that come back to bite me! HA! She looks like Minnie Mouse with this huge bow on top of her head! However, I guess it's better than the alternative of her bald self looking like a boy. Have I mentioned I can't wait for her hair to grow??

9 month pictures continued

I really love these pictures! Daniel did a great job, but for some reason he didn't edit the ones in this outfit?! oh well. I am putting them up anyway, because I am almost caught up, and I can blog in "real time!" *Hopefully!* I don't like heavily edited photos anyway...
